Nursing shortages affect health care organizations across the U.S. and may compromise quality of care. This study investigated the use of telehomecare on the recruitment and retention of nurses in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Telehomecare is a form of telecommunications that enables a home health nurse to interact with a patient in his / her home and assess the patient's health status through the use of medical devices attached to a video monitor. Outcomes measures included job satisfaction and agency turnover rates.
