Penn State's College of Health and Human Development seeks an experienced Website/Web Applications Manager for the Office of Alumni and College Relations. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the strategic communications/creative services team.
This job will include a dynamic set of responsibilities to include global website management, web application development, and related website and communications efforts for the college and its constituent units. This job will be responsible for developing, supporting, maintaining, and training within the content management system (CMS; currently Drupal). The job will focus primarily on communications and marketing efforts of the college and its constituent units, central initiatives, and special projects.
Responsibilities will include: ownership and management of an enterprise-level CMS; customizing segments fulfilling individual unit needs within the larger goals of the organization; working with the creative team developing new themes to move toward a next generation of content, identity, and functionality; design and production of small- and large-scale web applications; and specialized support for adherence to best practices, university standards, and accessibility. The successful candidate will be working closely with the creative services unit on various communications and marketing efforts; enhancing functionality and applications to current technologies; determining specialized requirements of a variety of projects; seamless integration of graphic design and user interfaces (and back-end processing, where applicable); and general website maintenance for communications initiatives. This job will also be the primary customer service/specialized support contact for unit CMS/website needs.
This job will be filled as a level 2, level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate’s degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs.
