AMA PRA credit
Penn State College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Penn State College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Consistent with AMA guidelines, nurse practitioners and physician assistants will receive a certificate verifying their participation in the activity. The certificate will indicate that the program was approved for AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.
Nurses will receive a certificate from Penn State College of Medicine verifying their participation in [number to be inserted] hours of approved continuing medical education. Continuing education activities which are approved by accredited institutions of higher education and that are relevant to patient care or professional nursing meet the requirements of mandatory continuing education for registered nurses in Pennsylvania, as required by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The Board of Nursing recommends that nurses retain their certificates for a period of at least five years.
Continuing Education for Psychologists credit
One Continuing Education for Psychologists credit is offered for each approved one-hour lecture. Credit on letters of completion will reflect full attendance. Full attendance is required to receive CE credit for Psychologists. Partial credit will not be awarded; late arrivals or early departures will preclude awarding of CE credits.
The Penn State Psychological Clinic is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Penn State Psychological Clinic maintains responsibility for the program and its content. Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
In addition, Penn State Continuing Education Units are available, based on a standard of 1 unit per ten hours of classroom instruction. Upon completion of this program each participant will be awarded a certificate for the Penn State CEUs earned. Upon request, your CEU certificate will be sent after the conference to the e-mail address or mailing address provided on your registration form.
