Join the College of Health and Human Development, the College of Nursing, and the HHD Alumni Society for Pink Zone 2014
The College of Health and Human Development (HHD) and the College of Nursing (CON) are continuing our proud tradition of supporting the annual “Pink Zone” Women’s Basketball Game, which raises funds for and highlights the importance of preventing and treating breast cancer. Our Alumni Society Board is also supporting the event and encouraging alumni to attend.
We hope faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends will join us for the game and related events. This year’s special activities will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the Penn State vs. Wisconsin game played at the Bryce Jordan Center. Tip-off is at 1:00 p.m. It should be a great game!
To purchase tickets
Group ticket prices are $5 for both adults and youth. If you are interested in purchasing tickets through our group, please contact Barbara King (email: email@example.com; phone: 814-865-4392) in the HHD Dean’s Office. Our group will be seated together in the stands. The deadline for ordering tickets is Monday, February 3.
Penn State students get in free with their student IDs. Survivors’ tickets are free as well (see ‘Breast Cancer Survivors’ section below to register). Note that students and survivors will be seated elsewhere. However, if students would like to sit in our HHD section, please make sure to reserve your tickets through our group.
Whether you purchase tickets through us or sit elsewhere, please join us prior to the game at 11:30 a.m. in Room E/F at the Bryce Jordan Center for light refreshments (enter from the Founder’s Entrance on the East side of the BJC). Friends and family members of all ages are welcome. The Nittany Lion often joins us, and we are hoping for a repeat visit!
Breast Cancer Survivors
Prior to the game, breast cancer survivors can sign up for the Pink Zone's Breast Cancer Survivor Package. A special halftime ceremony will honor all breast cancer survivors in attendance. To register as a survivor, visit pennsylvaniapinkzone.org/survivors.html.
For more information, to make a donation, or to purchase an official Pink Zone t-shirt, please visit www.gopsusports.com/pinkzone. We hope you will join us to cheer on the Lady Lions and to raise awareness about this important health challenge!
