Kinesiology Affiliate Program Group
Purpose
In This Section:
The Kinesiology APG joins alumni together; creates closer alliances among alumni, faculty, and students; and enhances the stature and effectiveness of the Penn State Kinesiology program. The APG achieves this by:
- Providing advice and support to the Department of Kinesiology, the College of Health and Human Development, and Penn State;
- Working to enhance experiences and increased opportunities for ongoing learning in the sub-disciplines of Kinesiology: Athletic Training, Movement Science, Teacher Preparation and the grade areas of impulse motor control;
- Providing business, alumni faculty, and students a formal system which provides a vehicle for networking and communication;
- Implementing and maintaining a formal program to provide students with counsel and coaching from alumni;
- Fostering and encouraging the highest ideals and ethics in the field of kinesiology;
- Encouraging the contribution of funds for academic scholarships and activities for students in the Kinesiology program;
- Recognizing alumni, faculty and students for outstanding achievements
