Nutrition and Dietetics Alumni Society: Positions for Faculty

Teaching Position, Mansfield University
We have the following part-time faculty position for the 2008-2009 school year and we will advertise a full-time tenure track position for the 2009-2010 school year.
Position: Nutrition.
Temporary, part-time Instructor position for the 2008-2009 academic year. The teaching load will be 25% for the fall semester and 50% for the spring semester.
 
Responsibilities: Teach courses in one or more of the following areas: Lifecycle Nutrition, Foodservice Management, Nutrition Counseling, Sports Nutrition, Community Nutrition, or Quantity Food Production.
Qualifications: Minimum requirements Master’s degree in Foods, Nutrition, or closely related field and at least two years work experience in the Foods, Nutrition, or a closely related field required. Preferred: Ph.D in Foods, Nutrition, or closely related field; R.D; and teaching experience in higher education. Qualifications include the completion of a successful interview; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); and the ability to teach and evaluate students. Background checks required.
Essential Functions: Effective teaching of the principles, theories and techniques of Nutrition. Communicate and write effectively. Effective use of computer technology. Work cooperatively within the department.

Marywood University announces a tenure track position beginning August 2008/Jan 09. Responsibilities include: teaching at the Undergraduate, MS, and Doctoral levels in Community, Sports, or other areas of nutrition; mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; developing grant proposals; conducting research; serving on thesis and dissertation committees, as well as service to the University, Community and Profession. Position requires a PhD and RD . Preference given to those with teaching experience and a track record of scholarship. Rank is dependent on credentials and experience.
