Awards and Recognition

The Shirley Novosel Distinguished Nursing Alumni Award: This award, established in 1996, is presented annually by the Penn State Nursing Alumni Society to an alumnus/alumna who exemplifies the spirit of nursing and the Penn State School of Nursing's ideals and philosophy.
The Nursing Student Service Award: The student nurse supports the ideals of the School of Nursing and the nursing profession by engaging in service activities that support individuals, families, and/or communities and that encourage and foster the nurse’s personal and professional development.
