Carol Clark Ford Staff Achievement Award
The Carol Clark Ford Staff Achievement Award recognizes outstanding achievement by a staff member, clerical employee, or technical service employee of the college who “makes it easier for others to accomplish their objectives effectively and efficiently.”
Diversity Achievement Award
The Diversity Achievement Award honors a faculty or staff member in the College of Health and Human Development who has made sustained and significant contributions to fostering diversity at Penn State or in the college.
Evan G. and Helen G. Pattishall Outstanding Research Achievement Award
The Pattishall Outstanding Research Achievement Award honors a tenured or tenure-track faculty member’s outstanding research contributions occurring or culminating within the past several years.
Evelyn R. Saubel Faculty Award
The Evelyn R. Saubel Faculty Award honors a faculty member committed to human service who is an accessible adviser in both academic and career decisions; who demonstrates a caring, professional style; and who symbolizes college values.
HHD Alumni Society Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award honors a college faculty member’s excellence in teaching and contributions to the art of teaching.
Leadership in Outreach Award
The Leadership in Outreach Award honors an individual who has made significant leadership contributions to the outreach mission of the college.
Pauline Schmitt Russell Distinguished Research Career Award
The Pauline Schmitt Russell Distinguished Research Career Award honors a senior faculty member who has made outstanding research contributions to the field across a major portion of his or her career.

Alumni Recognition Award
The Alumni Recognition Award is presented to an alumnus/alumna of the College of Health and Human Development or College of Nursing who has demonstrated professional excellence and exemplary voluntary community involvement in a health and human development field or nursing.
Alumni Service Award
The Alumni Service Award recognizes an alumnus or alumna of the College of Health and Human Development or College of Nursing who has positively impacted the quality of people's lives through service to others above and beyond their call of duty.
Emerging Professional Awards
The Emerging Professional–Graduate Degree Award and the Emerging Professional–Undergraduate Degree Award recognize graduates of the past ten years who have demonstrated professional excellence and/or exemplary voluntary community involvement in the health and human development or nursing professions.
Edith Pitt Chace Award
The Edith Pitt Chace Award recognizes an outstanding student leader and scholar in the College of Health and Human Development.
Student Service Award
The Student Service Award recognizes service by a student in the College of Health and Human Development to the College of Health and Human Development or College of Nursing, to Penn State, and to the community.
The Awards Committee of the College of Health and Human Development Alumni Society Board annually accepts proposals seeking funding for small projects. The committee will consider all applications and make funding recommendations to the Dean of the college, who will give final approval. A total of $1,000 is available annually. Your budget may be greater, but the maximum grant awarded for each project will be $500, or $125 for a student presentation.

Faculty Appreciation Award
The Faculty Appreciation Award honors a faculty member who actively promotes relationships among students, faculty and staff members, and alumni above and beyond the demands of his/her job.
Staff Appreciation Award
The Staff Appreciation Award, which is sponsored by the College of Health and Human Development Alumni Society, honors a staff member who actively promotes relationships among students, faculty and staff members, and alumni above and beyond the demands of his/her job.
