Alumni Service Award
The Alumni Service Award recognizes an alumnus or alumna of the College of Health and Human Development or College of Nursing who has positively impacted the quality of people's lives through service to others above and beyond their call of duty.
The actions of the recipient of the Alumni Service Award exemplify the College of Health and Human Development's or College of Nursing's commitment to improving the quality of people's lives. This award focuses on service to others as a means of improving quality of life. The recipient may serve others in one or more of the following settings:
- The College of Health and Human Development or College of Nursing
- Penn State
- The community
- Our nation
- Our world
The service may occur as part of the individual's participation in a service or nonprofit organization, or an entity, organization, or event of the recipient's own creation. The service shall occur within a field related to health or human development or nursing.
To be eligible, the nominee must have received either an undergraduate or graduate degree from the college and must have provided service above and beyond their call of duty in an area of work which has positively impacted the lives of others. NOTE: Past recipients of this award and members of the College of Health and Human Development Alumni Society Board are not eligible.
