Health and Human Development Mentoring Program: April 2008 Newsletter

The 2008 Health and Human Development Alumni Mentoring Program is underway. Each academic unit had their kick-off event earlier this spring and mentoring relationships are well established. The college is grateful to alumni who took time to return to University Park to share their experiences and to students who took advantage of the opportunity to complement their in-class learning with out-of-class experiences. Although spring semester is coming to a close, please keep in touch with one another over the summer.

Alumni Mentors invited to reception

Alumni mentors are welcome to join Dean Nan Crouter, faculty, staff, students and their families at the pre-commencement reception on Saturday, May 17 at Findlay Commons in East Halls from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Commencement ceremonies will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center.

2009 Mentoring Events Scheduled

Continuing alumni mentors and student protégés are encouraged to attend the 2009 mentoring program kickoff workshops so they can share their experiences with the new “class” of mentors and protégés.  All events take place at The Nittany Lion Inn.
