- Through its two certified childcare facilities--the Child Development Laboratory and the Bennett Family Child Care Center--the HDFS Childrens' Programs provide high-quality early childhood programming for children, families and the community; support the professional development of early childhood educators through outreach activities; and serve as sites for undergraduate education and faculty/student research on child development, early childhood education and parenting.
- Diabetes Foot Clinic

- The Diabetes Foot Clinic was started by HHD faculty in the late 1980's. The clinic is dedicated to the prevention of lower extremity complications in patients with diabetes mellitus, to the care of patients who have already developed complications, and to the advancement of this field through research. Since 2002 the clinical activities of this program have been operated by Mount Nittany Medical Center under the leadership of HHD faculty.

- Individual nutrition counseling is offered to Penn State students, faculty, and staff are provided by a registered dietitian and advanced nutrition students to help you.

- The Penn State Speech and Hearing Clinic is housed within the department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. The Clinic sponsors several programs designed to give students clinical experience in all age groups having a wide variety of communication disorders. Supervision is provided by CSD faculty holding Certificates of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology. The Clinic contains individual and group therapy rooms (several equipped with one-way mirrors and sound systems), audiological suites, and both adult and child therapy rooms.

- The mission of PORH is to improve the health of rural communities and their residents throughout the Commonwealth by compiling, analyzing, and disseminating information on rural healthcare needs, policies and issues; strengthening the existing network of rural providers, planners, and advocates; and acting as a liaison between academia, state government, professional associations and the general public.
