Gail Addison Guss: Assistant Director

A native of State College and an alum of the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State, Gail returned to State College in 1999 to be the Director of the Daybridge Child Development Center at Penn State. In 2001, she became the Assistant Director at The Bennett Family Center. She is also an instructor in the College.

Before returning to State College, Gail lived in Massachusetts after completing her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at The University of Connecticut. Her professional experience includes working in Head Start, teaching in a child care center, owning/directing a private nursery school, teaching and administrative roles in two independent elementary schools, and instructing at a community college. She conducted numerous workshops in the New England area and served on several community boards.

Gail has been married for thirty five years to Dan Guss, also a native of State College. They have three children. She enjoys reading, quilting, walking, and traveling.
