John Kane: Teacher
I am an Infant/Toddler teacher for Rainbow Connection here at the Bennett Family Center. I graduated from PSU in 2001 with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. Since graduation I have worked primarily in childcare in various capacities from teaching to directing. I chose this field because I firmly believe that children are our most valuable resources. I also believe that the years prior to formal education can be the most formative. I enjoy working with children knowing that at this stage in their lives they have the world at their fingertips as well as unlimited possibilities. I moved back into the State College area with my wife in August of 2006 as she attends Penn State to conduct her graduate studies. In my spare time I enjoy spending time hiking the area mountains with my wife, playing basketball, and taking the occasional flight lesson.
