Maas, Megan

Megan is from California and received her B.A. in Psychology from California State University where she also worked as a health educator to integrate sexual media information into sex education presentations for college students. Her advisor is Eva Lefkowitz and she also works closely with Mark Feinberg. Broadly, her research interest is sexual socialization and romantic relationship functioning in emerging and young adulthood. Specifically, she’s interested in the impact of gender socialization and sexually explicit material use on sexual behavior, body image and sexual esteem. She is particularly interested in factors that contribute to sexual esteem and long term sexual satisfaction in romantic relationships throughout adulthood.
