Human Services
In This Section:
Graduates interested in the human services professions have a wide range of career opportunities. One graduate, for example, has directed a project to prevent child sexual abuse. Another has worked in tenant relations for a large city. A third has counseled dying patients and their families at a hospice, and several own and direct daycare centers. Many others work in nursing homes, preschools, family and marriage clinics, drug and alcohol treatment centers, and other health care facilities.
For more information regarding working with children in child care settings, please go to the HDFS Children's Programs links page. For more information about working with aging adults, please refer to the Gerontology Center's extensive links.
