College of Health and Human Development Programs on Diversity

The Diversity Enhancement Office is dedicated to promoting and enhancing racial and ethnic diversity in the College of Health and Human Development. They provide students with opportunities to educate themselves about diversity outside the classroom through lectures and other enhancement activities. They also provide support and assistance to racial/ethnic minority students who are majors in the College of Health and Human Development. The Dean's Student Advisory Committee on Minority Affairs (SACOMA) gathers information about the academic and non-academic climate for minority students in the College, recommends steps to address those areas and assists the implementation of related programs in the college. Women's Leadership Initiative. In 2004, the College of Health and Human Development undertook a highly successful project to foster professional development skills among its women students.
