Health Policy and Administration Alumni Updates
Kristine Bergman
What are you doing today?
I now work for Health Inventures. Johnson and Johnson divested its Consulting and Services unit of Health Care Systems by early 2003. The principals of the business bought the company and we became Health Inventures in January of 2003. Our website is www.healthinventures.com.
The combination of the concurrent degree program has been more valuable than either one alone. The MBA program provided a general skill set applicable to any industry while the MHA program allowed me to refine those skills within the health care industry. The one aspect from the program that has been invaluable to me was the variety of team projects we completed.
How has HPA helped you get where you are today?
I think that coming out of Penn State with the dual degree definitely helped me to get this current position. This program is very rigorous, and having the two degrees portrays the dedication and drive it took to go through the program. Additionally, there is so much going on at Penn State in terms of research and innovation to teaching and learning that enhances the graduate programs and the overall educational experience.
