Ganesh, Chandrakala

Chandrakala Ganesh completed her Bachelor's in Pharmacy and Master's in Pharmaceutical Management from India. After working briefly in the pharmaceutical industry, she joined the doctoral program at Penn State. Her research interests include aging, mental health, costs and use of prescription drugs, and Medicare policy. Her dissertation research investigates various aspects of mental health of Medicare beneficiaries with Alzheimer's disease.

Holt, Harry

Harry holds a Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics Pre-law and Political Science/Pre-law from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to beginning his doctoral studies, he provided legal and consulting services to health care systems and health insurance companies in the United States and Latin America. Harry's primary research interest is federal health regulation and litigation, specifically as it relates to regulating competition in health care markets.

Woolton Lee is a 5th year Ph.D. student in Health Policy and Administration. He is studying the relationship between health care costs and quality in HMOs and is interested in the relationship between market incentives and quality of care in health care organizations.

Coleen is a registered nurse with a BSN and an MSN/MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently the Director of Surgical Services at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Her research interests focus on patient safety and consumer perceptions of quality.

Meret-Hanke, Louise

Louise holds a Master of Arts in Gerontology from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of British Columbia. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, she was the executive director for a community-based agency providing support programs (e.g., day programs, transportation, Meals on Wheels) for the elderly. Louise's primary research interest is long-term care policy, specifically community-based services for the elderly.

Punekar, Rajeshwari

Rajeshwari (Raj) Punekar holds a Master's in Public Health degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and bachelors degree in Ayurvedic (Indian/Herbal) Medicine from India. Before joining the Masters program at UAB, Raj worked as a clinician in India. Currently her research interests include health insurance and health care management, specifically related to women's health.

Amy holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from Russell Sage College and a master's degree in physical therapy from Sage Graduate School. She worked as a physical therapist for five years and a program manager for rehabilitation services for two years prior to her doctoral studies. Amy's research interests are in long-term care policy and management.
