The School of Nursing at The Pennsylvania State University at University Park invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure track). We are seeking applications from candidates with research and scholarship experience in sleep and sleep disorders, which may include sleep symptom management in chronic or acute illness trajectories in pediatrics, adults, or older adults and/or basic science addressing mechanisms and regulation of sleep. Postdoctoral training or academic experience preferred. Penn State tenure track faculty make significant contributions to the University research and education mission. Faculty will advance a sustainable, independent program of research in their scientific area and teach in their area of specialty.
Successful candidates will have an earned doctorate at the time of employment. Applicants should also have a focused program of research, potential for successfully acquiring extramural funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring. The School of Nursing at Penn State offers programs of study in nursing for PhD, MS, BS, and AS and is committed to continued growth of the research portfolio.
