| Services: Regular Training Sessions
for our Deputies
The work of
ISS is supported by a network of approximately 40 assistants
positioned in every department, center, and school in the College. These
assistants, which we affectionately call Deputies, serve as the
front-line contact when a problem develops. They provide as much
support to the user as they are comfortable with. If they cannot
solve the problem, they submit a Service Request to us via an online
web system and we take over from there.
To provide our Deputies with background knowledge in computer
support, we occasionally hold lunch time seminars. In the seminar,
we discuss new trends in computing and current problems that we
have been seeing in the College. We also have a question and answer
session and most times demonstrate new hardware or software.
All Deputies are invited to attend. |
