International Programs: The Partnership

The Pennsylvania State University aims to develop a strategic, comprehensive, and sustainable partnership with the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena. While the initial impetus for this partnership is originating from the College of Health and Human Development, the partnership is intended to be University-wide, with potential partners including Penn State’s College of Liberal Arts, the Eberly College of Science, the College of Education, and the College of Medicine.

Although the College of Health and Human Development has many mutually beneficial relationships with universities on all continents, the strategic objectives of the College call for the establishment of a limited number of comprehensive and sustainable partnerships. We envision that such partnerships will be based on a solid foundation of faculty collaboration and institutional support, that they will include faculty, staff, and student exchanges and joint proposals for external funding of research and other educational activities.
