Research Interests
To establish contemporary antecedents and consequences of sport performance through identity theory, attitude, self-regulation, motivation, personality, social cognition, goal-setting, and self-concept.
Teaching Philosophy
My objectives as a professor include teaching students to conceptually analyze the basic psychological principles, constructs, theories, and processes underlying sport and exercise behavior. To develop skills for reading and critiquing research literature. To demonstrate the ability to support ideas, integrate and synthesize information in a systematically organized manner.
