Research Interests
Our main research focus is skeletal muscle regeneration following injury; in addition we examine the influence of clinical therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation on the regenerative processes. Current research involves tracking inflammatory and regeneration process following contusion in a rat model both clinically through MRI imaging and biologically via protein markers. Future studies plan to investigate the influence of therapeutic ultrasound on skeletal muscle regeneration following contusion injury.
