Movement Science Option (effective summer 2006)

This option provides students with interdisciplinary training that utilizes movement for diagnosis, rehabilitation, and/or theoretical study. Coursework is designed to prepare students for a broad range of careers in biomedical and health-related fields and for graduate study in allied medical fields such as physical therapy, physician's assistant, occupational therapy, chiropractic medicine, cardiac rehabilitation and pre-medicine. Other students pursue graduate study in academic areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor behavior, sport and exercise psychology, sport history andsport philosophy to name a few.
