The Human Development and Family Studies APG is reinvigorated and has several projects in the works.
First, the APG sponsored an alumni panel discussion for HDFS undergraduate students on Saturday, March 24 at the Hintz Family Alumni Center. Five alumni participated in the panel: Dennis Fetzer ’78, vice president, PNC Bank; Rebecca Holland-Coviello ’02g, ’05g, research analyst, American Institutes for Research; Craig Jackman ’81, vice president of human resources, Black and Decker Corporation; Kristi Mattzela ’99 medical social work supervisor, Centre Volunteers in Medicine; and John Soubik ’85, chief of workforce planning and performance, Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Administration. The APG plans to host another panel discussion during the fall semester. If you are interested in sharing your experiences and expertise with students as part of the panel, please contact me at my email address above.
In the coming months, the APG board will assess alumni interest in activities such as regional networking events, career activities for students, and more. If you have ideas for potential alumni activities or want to get involved, please contact me.
