Pennsylvania Rural Health Conference Set for June 12 and 13

“Roots of Change” is the theme for this year‚s Pennsylvania Rural Health Conference, which will take place June 12 and 13 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, Pennsylvania.
The fifteenth annual conference targets rural health advocates, administrators, policy makers, providers, and educators who are working to enhance the health status of citizens in rural communities.
Plenary and concurrent session presentations will focus on a variety of topics including state and national rural health policy, overweight and obesity prevention, rural drug use, grant writing and more. Two pre-conference workshops will kick off the conference on Tuesday, June 12. Keynote and concurrent sessions are scheduled for June 12 and June 13, along with a presentation from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the annual rural health awards presentation.
The conference is coordinated by the Pennsylvania Office on Rural Health and co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania Rural Health Association, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Penn State‚s College of Health and Human Development, Penn State Cooperative Extension and Penn State Outreach.
