Bob Pringle, Director of Library Services at the Betty M. Anderson Library, became a librarian in “mid-career”, earning his MLS from the University of Washington in 1978, after 11 years of Army service.  He joined the library faculty at the Intercollegiate College of Nursing/ WSU College of Nursing in 1980.  He promotes nursing librarianship nationally in the Medical Library Association and encourages sharing of information resources at state and regional levels through various groups and task forces.  His interest in information sharing and how nurses use information led to the work discussed in this paper.

He's a "Scouter" in the Boy Scouts, and reads almost everything, with emphasis on history, science fiction, and fantasy.
