Students who are advised by their prospective Internship agencies to have Professional Liability Insurance may elect to apply for liability insurance through one of the following programs. Students may also seek professional liability insurance through any other appropriate insurance program provided that the insurance coverage is acceptable to the Internship agency.
Note: The following insurance plans are not endorsed, in anyway, by the Department of RPTM at Penn State University. Students should check with their prospective agency PRIOR to purchasing insurance coverage to ensure that the student policy meets the agency’s insurance coverage requirements.
- Therapeutic Recreation Students only:
- ATRA Affiliated Insurance Programs
- Healthcare Providers Service Organization
- All other RPTM Students:
- National Park and Recreation Association Insurance
