Congratulations Alumni
Kelly Bricker PhD ’98 (kelly.bricker@health.utah.edu), Assistant Professor at University of Utah, presented at Penn State on October 13 on her experiences with developing an international certification program for sustainable tourism.
John P. Hearn '02 (john.p.hearn@usace.army.mil) is a Project Manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base with the US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Division. John resides in Dayton, Ohio.

- became president-elect of the Academy of Leisure Sciences
- presented on “Leisure and technology: The public and private spaces of young people” at the 10th World Leisure Congress in Quebec City on October 8
- was the session chair for the Leisure and Adolescence session at the NRPA Annual Congress in Baltimore on October 16.
Garry Chick submitted a grant proposal titled, “The Adaptive Qualities of Leisure” to the National Science Foundation on October 9.
