Congratulations Alumni
Stacey Brewer ’00 (sebpsu4@aol.com) accepted the position as vice principal and athletic director at Cowan Jr/Sr High School in Indiana.
Wendy Owen ’85 (wendy.a.owen@lmco.com) was quoted in the May 2007 edition of Women’s Leadership Initiative under Philanthropy and Women.
Jillian Poznick ’06 (spiotrowicz@carrduff.com) was featured in the May edition of Women’s Leadership Initiative discussing her experience in Nashville, TN where she ran a marathon to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Toni Liechty was selected by distinguished reviewers as a recipient of the 2007 Juran Doctoral Award.

Bobbi-Jo Witmer was selected to serve as the RPTM Student Marshal for the Spring 2007 Commencement Exercises. Bobbi-Jo selected Patty Kleban as Faculty Marshal.

The book “Recreation and Youth Development” written by Linda Caldwell and Peter Witt was reviewed in the Therapeutic Recreation Journal for the first quarter of 2007.
In April, Harry Zinn traveled to St. Paul, Minnesota, to attend the George Wright Society Biennial Conference. The Aldo Leopold Wilderness Research Institute invited Harry and co-writer Alan Graefe to present a paper about the values and outdoor recreation of the so-called “Generation Me”. The paper will be published in a special edition of the International Journal of Wilderness.
Andy Mowen and Alan Graefe were both referenced in the June 2007 issue of Parks and Recreation the article titled “CorporateSponsor Relationships.”

Hodya Margolis was hired as RPTM staff assistant on July 2. Hodya is a Penn State alum ('06 HDFS) and has worked in many academic and administrative units within the University.
