RPTM Facilities

The Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management is proud to provide an outstanding assortment of facilities to meet the needs of our students.

Stone Valley Recreation Area serves as a laboratory for students in the Recreation and Park Management major. Stone Valley's rich natural and cultural history provides educational and recreational opportunities. Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, located within the park, offers a variety of educational and recreational opportunities as well as provides model environmental programs and hands-on experiences to complement and support classroom instruction. The Center also offers access to one thousand acres of woodlands, streams, open meadows, cattail marshes, and a seventy-two acre lake for recreation and aquatic study.
