The Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Management is proud to provide an outstanding assortment of facilities to meet the needs of our students.
Stone Valley Recreation Area serves as a laboratory for students with an interest in outdoor recreation. Stone Valley's rich natural and cultural history provides educational and recreational opportunities.
Shaver's Creek Environmental Center, located within Stone Valley, offers a variety of educational and recreational opportunities as well as provides model environmental programs and hands-on experiences to complement and support classroom instruction.

- The Penn State Golf Courses
Penn State University manages a 36-hole golf facility that includes a 31-station driving range, three practice greens, and an award winning golf shop. Golf at Penn State can be traced as far back as 1889. The mission of the Penn State Golf Courses is to provide an outstanding golf experience for members, general public, faculty, staff, and students at Penn State University.
