Nutritional Sciences Scholarships

Dairy Farmers of America-Northeast Area Scholarship
Dairy Farmers of America-Northeast Area Scholarship is awarded to full- and part-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors in the College of Health and Human Development as well as majors in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Students must have completed at least two semesters of study, achieved or have the potential for superior academic success, live in the Dairy Farmers of America-Northeast Area, and demonstrate interest in a career in the dairy industry or foods and nutrition. Preference is given to Dairy Farmers of America member families.
Delpha E. Wiesendanger Memorial Scholarship
Delpha E. Wiesendanger Memorial Scholarship considers all full-time junior or senior students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development who have a grade-point average of 2.7 or above and demonstrate the potential for professional success. Preference is given to students enrolled in Human Development and Family Studies, Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, and Nutritional Sciences majors.
Edward R. and Helen Skade Hintz Graduate Educational Enhancement Fellowships
Edward R. and Helen Skade Hintz Graduate Educational Enhancement Fellowships support enrichment activities that enhance traditional educational experiences including conference participation, relevant internship/externship opportunities, collaboration with faculty mentors, international study and travel, and other pre-professional activities. Full-time graduate students with excellent academic records and financial need who are candidates for a degree in the College of Health and Human Development will be considered. First preference is given to students enrolled in Hotel, Restaurant and Recreation Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors.
Ellen M. Stuart Memorial Award
Ellen M. Stuart Memorial Award recognizes an outstanding full-time undergraduate senior woman enrolled in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, or Nutritional Sciences majors in the College of Health and Human Development who achieved academic success and whose home address is in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
General Federation of Women's Clubs Pennsylvania Scholarship
General Federation of Women's Clubs Pennsylvania Scholarship considers all full-time undergraduate women enrolled or planning to enroll in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors in the College of Health and Human Development. Students considered must have achieved or have the potential for outstanding academic success, have proven financial need, exemplary personal character, and be a Pennsylvania resident.
Genevieve P. Ho Award in Nutrition
Genevieve P. Ho Award in Nutrition provides funds or full-time Baccalaureate degree students enrolled or planning to enroll in Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development, have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5, and who demonstrate potential for outstanding professional success. Preference is given to students who have a clear public health nutrition vision and whose studies focus on promoting total human well-being.
Grace M. Henderson Graduate Scholarship
Grace M. Henderson Graduate Scholarship gives consideration to all full-time graduate students enrolled in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors in the College of Health and Human Development who exemplify the qualities of a scholar, have the potential for professional success, convey a dedicated interest in human services, and demonstrate financial need.
Guthrie Honors Scholarship
Guthrie Honors Scholarship considers all full-time freshmen enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development as well as those students transferring into the program having completed 24 to 50 semester college credits. Preference is given to students who have superior academic records with a demonstrated competence in basic science, the potential for continued academic success, and who have proven financial need.
Helen Skade Hintz Nutrition Scholarship
Helen Skade Hintz Nutrition Scholarship considers all full-time freshmen and sophomore students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Applied Sciences option in Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development. Student’s records should indicate high academic achievement and proven leadership ability or potential.
Kappa Omicron Nu Scholarship
Kappa Omicron Nu Scholarship awards undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development who are members of Kappa Omicron Nu, an honors society for students in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors. Consideration is based on student's professional objectives, leadership and research experience, and involvement in Kappa Omicron Nu.

Kappa Omicron Nu Scholarship awards undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development who are members of Kappa Omicron Nu, an honors society for students in the Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management, Human Development and Family Studies, and Nutritional Sciences majors. Consideration is based on student’s professional objectives, leadership and research experience, and involvement in Kappa Omicron Nu.
Karen Louise Weber Scholarship
Karen Louise Weber Scholarship provides support to undergraduate students, fifth semester and above, enrolled in the Departments of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Health Policy and Administration, Human Development and Family Studies, Nursing, and Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development. Students considered will have superior academic records, potential for outstanding professional success, and financial need.
Lillian VanDyke Scholarship in Nutrition
Lillian VanDyke Scholarship in Nutrition considers full-time Baccalaureate degree students enrolled or planning to enroll in Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development. Entering students must have a predicted grade-point average of 3.5 or better and current students must have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 with an expectation of continued academic success.
Mary Burket Morrow Scholarship
Mary Burket Morrow Scholarship awards full-time and part-time undergraduate baccalaureate degree students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Human Development and Family Studies or Nutritional Sciences majors in the College of Health and Human Development. Students must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.2, demonstrated leadership and service experience, and the potential for outstanding professional success.
Nutrition Undergraduate Scholarship Fund
Nutrition Undergraduate Scholarship Fund considers all full-time Baccalaureate degree students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Nutritional Sciences major in the College of Health and Human Development who have a minimum grade-point average of 3.4 and have the potential for exceptional professionalism.
Priem Family Honors Scholarship
Priem Family Honors Scholarship considers all full-time freshmen enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Health and Human Development who have superior high school academic records with expectations for future outstanding academic success. First preference is given to students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Nutritional Sciences major.
Robert T. Olver Memorial Scholarship
Robert T. Olver Memorial Scholarship considers graduate and undergraduate students with interest in medical research, particularly in cancer; financial need primary consideration in determining eligibility; if no qualified HHD candidates found, consideration given to eligible students enrolled in Science.
Ruth L. Pike Scholarship in Basic Nutrition Science
Ruth L. Pike Scholarship in Basic Nutrition Science awards full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development who have superior academic records in the basic nutritional sciences and demonstrate an ability for research.
Woot-Tsuen Wu Leung Scholarship in Nutrition
Woot-Tseun Wu Leung Scholarship in Nutrition supports Chinese-speaking students from the United States, China, Taiwan, or other countries in the Far East who are full-time baccalaureate or graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in Nutritional Sciences in the College of Health and Human Development.
