The Penn State Difference
Graduate programs in Hospitality Management at Penn State offer small course sizes to create an intimate learning environment for students and allow for frequent and close interactions with faculty.
To further facilitate an exchange of ideas, the School of Hospitality Management holds a Research Mixer series during which faculty and graduate students engage in discussions about industry trends and academic research and interact with guest presenters.
Doctoral students are required to present their work at academic conferences on a regular basis and to have at least three papers submitted to a refereed journal during their tenure at Penn State.
To enhance their teaching skills, and in preparation of their roles as future faculty, doctoral students are expected to teach an undergraduate class during their fourth year..
