Change of Major/Entrance to Major
To be eligible for entrance into a major in the College of Health and Human Development, a student must have earned minimally 27.1 credits and a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average. For specific entrance to major requirements, please visit the following web site at: www.psu.edu/dus/cfe/etmhh.htm or speak with an academic adviser in the Student Services Center, 215 Henderson Building, at (814) 865-2156.
Students meeting the entrance to major requirements and wishing to declare a major in the College of Health and Human Development may request admission to a major in one of two ways: by participating in the university-wide Entrance to Major Process in the spring semester of the sophomore year (for students at all campuses) or electronically through the campus Registrar’s Office.
Students exploring College of Health and Human Development majors at University Park campus should call (814) 865-2156 to schedule an appointment with an academic adviser in the Student Services Center, 215 Henderson Building. Upon completion of the explore meeting, Student Services Center staff will schedule the student to meet with the department/school adviser who will assist with admission to major.
In most cases, students enrolled in or hoping to enroll in majors in the College of Health and Human Development and wishing to complete a degree program are expected to attend University Park upon completion of the sophomore year. Please see www.hhdev.psu.edu/studentservices/change.html for more information.
